Rising of the dead

"Static feed"
"When your at war with your enemy you will do what it takes to put an end to them. Sometimes you question if you did what was right other times you wonder if you went to far. The thought that the destruction of the world was caused by you, nothing but shock and awe spread throughout the world. Other times one person can't be held accountable or responsible for the deaths of millions, it's only those who want to advance personal goals are the ones responsible."

Cyberdon Laboratories

It's almost done. We're making much progress necessary for this project to reach the final goal.

Sir! We have a problem!

What would that be?

The experiment escaped!

Put the status of the facility under lock down we can't let it escape!

"Entry 56798"
I hate to tell you that this project has reached a crisis level. With the lack of funding and resources coming up short I have to admit we're getting absolutely no where. The experiment still needs a lot of work for it has failed to our commands and has violently attacked and killed many of our employees. The good news is that testing on the Imperial Destruction bringer has given us results beyond belief and shall be manufactured and mass produced within the next 5 years or so to help our front line troops in this civil war. Another problem the project is facing is the lack of both cadmium and Magnesium. Our operatives in Eurasia has states that outside the major oil fields there are large and vast quantities of those elements and are being harvested right now. If we don't get a supply of those elements soon then this facility must be destroyed. Over the past few weeks we've been taking heavy bombing runs from the enemy and now that they know what we're doing we can only hope we finish this project in time."

"Signed by PhD Joseph Collins"

The experiment has escaped!

Do you realize what you've caused? That's the most unstable form of biological warfare we have and now it may get into the hands of our enemies.

"PA: Attention all workers. It seems as though our experiment has escaped. We must quickly dispose ourselves and this facility for the enemy may finally know our location. Immediately ingest your Mercury pills and rig the explosives on the facility. As you know thank you for the help you've been giving and rig the explosives before ingesting your pills"

2 hours later.....

"News report comes on: An escaped experiment of what appears to be a "zombie" is walking around biting many citizens. The populace has been warned to stay inside and..... wait, wait what is that!? RUN!!!!!!!!!!

(News reporter and camera man start running) He's right behind you, Ahhh!!!!!!

The Endless Tour

When people think of the word touring they think of musicians visiting places whether it's international or local to support and idea or a project. My definition of touring is going to a place for a purpose or a competition. Just like touring for musicians touring for competitions is not the life many think it is. The life of touring is one that both pushes you to the edge and is a test of your will.

For me the life of touring began at the age of 12 in 6th grade for geography. My very first tour which was for State for the Geography Bee in Madison. That day was when I got a first taste of what the lifestyle would be like. At first it was amazing with the glam, fame and encouragement from everyone, but it wasn't until later I discovered later that I saw the dark side of touring. The transition period from elementary school to middle school placed me in new environments with new challenges, foes and more responsibility. when my tour with geography came to end I stated getting involved in new things, that thing turned out to be Forensics. Even spanning up to now Forensics is the biggest thing I'm touring for right now. With 2 great seasons, and 2 state ribbons under my belt for now forensics is turning out to be the one that I'm going to be supporting for a while. By the time this piece is written I am getting ready to enter my 3rd year supporting forensics.

It's always tough to constantly get yourself out there go to a competition lather, rinse, repeat and get yourself ready for another competition. Obvious reasons is the competition. When you enter any type of competition whether its athletic or academic your opponent is either going to be worse or better than you. Another outside factor is the image you create yourself because obviously when you're doing something you want to look good doing it right? The fame is something many take for granted. What many don't understand is that even though the 15 minutes you have offers you much don't forget it's going to come crashing down on you and entomb you. Fatigue is another factor in the stress of it all. You go to competition one night and next thing you know next week another one. If you're a person who leads a busy life you just can't seem to catch a break. Everyday is the same daily environment stress such as friends, families, loved ones etc. Next you have the stress of getting yourself ready. For me forensics was tough due to the fact that it was like a "conventional album". In the music industry a conventional album is a piece of music where it must be written under time constraints and then released. Once released it will have have hit songs on them otherwise known as "singles". For me Forensics was the same thing, write a speech, get a visual ready in just under a short period of time like for example 2 weeks. Next I would get myself ready for the competition by practicing, practicing, practicing etc. Finally when competition comes I present and if there's any flops in my work then I go back and correct it and prepare myself, once again lather, rinse, repeat.

Life on the road is not fun as many think it is. Instead the long nights, the many cans of soda ingested and the parties that go on at competitions take their toll on you. Overtime all of this puts stress on yourself that eventually brings changes on many scales whether it's big or small. Touring leaves its mark and one things for sure once your 15 minutes expire nothing but disaster strikes.

Advice for the class of 2016 at Asa Clark Middle School

For the incoming 7th graders there have been many questions about what 8th grade is like. For example at the confrontation last years when they were 6th grade they had a lot of questions. This years is going to be not so different. This is completely acceptable because when you enter a new grade you face even more difficulties and even more obstacles and barriers are thrown at you. I've been here since Kindergarten and over a course of these past 8 years I've gained a lot of background knowledge on each grade such as what to do and WHAT NOT TO DO. Here are some tips for any 7th grader that will eventually become useful. Rule Number 1.) ALWAYS GET YOUR HOMEWORK DONE! The reason is 8th grade at times can be stressful because your teachers are going to dump a ton of homework on you. The point of this rule is to avoid anything such as procrastination because it eventually will become a habit (Which I would know personally considering I procrastinate). So remember get your homework done and 8th grade will be very smooth. Rule 2.) PARTICIPATE Participation is a supermassive rule! Reason being is that participation will help you have a good life in 8th grade and plus you won't get called on by a teacher that much if you participate. Rule 3.) MIX GROUPS. The classic middle school/high school scene is always going to be different groups of people. From the athletic people to the smart people to the outcasts. Now each person can clearly Identify themselves as to which group they belong to. The important thing about this rule is to not just stay within your own group mix with people by talking to other people in different groups. You may dislike majorly thinking "why would I do such a thing?" but by mixing groups you can accomplish things you never thought you would. Rule 4.) ALWAYS BE PREPARED. Some days in the classroom in any class you will be able to predict what your going to do that day. But some days where it's before vacations teachers may do something different. So always be ready and listen the whole time so you can understand what's going on. Rule 5.)COME UP WITH YOU OWN GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every year in any grade they'll come up with a grade wide game that someone comes up with. For example near the end of this year I came up with an assassin game where everyone goes around assassinating each other. Eventually games like this will get old and people will come up with new ones but always remember you can recognized for coming up with games like this.

8th grade to some may be a hard grade but honestly it's no different than any other grade. Eventually you will gain experience on what to do and what not to do but for now following these basic rules will make 8th grade the best year of your life.

Rough City life

"Authors note after reading the story Raymond's run I was assigned to take the task of writing the story from one of the character's prospective"

My name is Cynthia and I live in New York City. Living in the city is great.
I have many friends and I love it here in the big city. All my friends are all amazing except for one my friends whose name is "Squeaky". Unlike most of my friends who are nice Squeaky seems to always be carrying around this selfish attitude that always seems to never go away. Many people usually get mad at me for fooling them into thinking I'm going to fail a test but in the end I end up succeeding. And because of these kinds of situations temper's from everybody always seems to come towards me. My parents are always encouraging me to do well in my education because I have a tendency to procrastinate so I fall behind in a few subjects. And so I'm always ready to surprise everyone with every accomplishment I make.

Sea of the Dead

"Private Howard do you come in? Do you read? I hear you loud and clear. Where the heck are you? We need help now we have just confronted a super massive swarm of zombies and they're getting to close for comfort we need you here now. Where are you guys? We're at the (Static) docks south side of town by the U.S.S Clarksville. GET OVER HERE NOW! Now you guys finally know what has been going on. I have to leave now. WAIT! we'll come with you. Are you mad there are thousands of them out there with more people we'll be like walking steaks. We've dealt with them just about enough to know how to fight them of course we'll come and help. Alright grab what's ever left. If ammo is restricted share it out and pray we make it".

"As the small guerrilla army of 1,000 strong left the school they reached lookout hill the tallest spot in town where they can see the sea, the nearby desert and the forest. All around bodies littered the fields and as they looked at the port they could see explosions in the distance coming from the port.". The battle has already begun the living against the dead".

CHARGE! They're all over the place! Private Howard glad you're here. We need covering fire the zombies keep coming. Grab the China Lake we have to wait until that Air strike gets here. Use those detonators blow'em back to where they came from. "One by one they started dropping like flies. We've lost so many men trying to defend our major cities from the zombie invasion but so far everything we've done has been futile".

"We've waited for many hours until that air strike came in. It seemed what felt like an eternity until finally that dang airstrike came in. We flushed them out with Napalm. We've lost many brave men trying to make it this far. Our casualties have officially reached 100,000,000 casualties. I don't know how much more I can take it with this whole war with the USSF it has been driving us towards the point of mass hysteria among everyone".

"It's finally over. Don't say that soldier as long as one rotten limb moves its never over".

We've been getting reports that USSF forces have launched naval strikes against Mutkinsha. We've also heard reports that they've created a super massive ship that is impervious to damage. Gather all forces and board them all on the NRSNS HARK. Clarksville will follow closely behind. As the NRS forces moved out of Contackia.
About 5 miles off the coast they spotted the mighty ship and immediately they were being sunk one by one. Instantly they were met with enemy aircraft and they opened fire. Many of the NRS's Boats were sinking at a faster rate than many had expected and there were questions whether or not they will be able to complete their objective or die trying. The size of the ship was within unimaginable proportions, The bridge may have been at least 600 ft tall and the height of the ship total must have been 1,000 ft.

"Alright infiltrate the ship. God speed to you all but you guys better hurry there's to much enemy resistance out here for us to last that long. NOW GO!".

James plant the wall with C4. (Explosion) go, go, go! The fight was on instantly bodies started to be dumped off the side of the ship as the USSF ship was slowly weakening the small guerrilla army made their way up floor by floor, room by room the merciless killing became apparent. the only way to stop the zombie invasion was to not stop until they're all destroyed. Finally as they made their way onto the flight deck it was mass chaos. Everywhere they looked there were planes getting shot down and planes taking off into the sky of doom. They then focused their attention to the 42 story bridge. As they made their way up to the top they received a message that made them all swallow real hard.

"A BOMB HAS BEEN PLANTED DETONATION STARTS NOW! YOU HAVE 5:00 MINUTES TO GET OFF THIS SHIP OR GO DOWN WITH IT!"

Guys we better run or else we're going to die! Making their way back down the ship the lower decks were starting flood. And soon they had no choice but to jump off from the 500 ft tall flight deck into the sea of dead bodies below. The last thing they saw was the ship exploding and sinking into the dark depths of the ocean.

Anger Flies Love Dangles

For the Citizens of the tiny community of Sparks everyday was the same. Many citizens would usually have their breakfast then go out around town doing what ever necessary work that needed completion. At first everything was calm but then they noticed something strange. They saw a group of people as if it was a caravan cresting a nearby ridge and so the town leaders were sent in to investigate. They looked at the people and considered strange as if they're not of this world. The people standing in front pf them were covered in like weird slime like substances and were much fatter than the people of Sparks. Then the question from one of the town leaders came into mind who are you people? Where are you from? Who's your leader? At first the citizens of the other community were shocked as well with the same questions in mind. Suspicion soon grew between the two and fear arose among everybody what's going to happen was the question that the leaders of both communities had. Uncertainty made it unclear what to do and so conflict arose. And the fate of everybody would hang in the balance.

The citizens of Sparks lived in a tiny small peaceful community where they can look at the majesty of row upon row of vegetable gardens. Or looking at the smooth flowing sparks river which helped contributed to the towns resources in food etc. But what they weren't ready for was to share their community with the the newly emerged citizens of Ember. But honestly if you had to share your resources with uninvited guests what would do? For the citizens of Sparks they did not want to start a war but at the same time they were angry that their resources might be depleted. And so at one point the citizens of Sparks had enough and evicted the emberities off their land and made them live in an old run downed hotel. And the emberities found it unfair that they were being enslaved by the citizens of Sparks and soon conflict pushed everyone to their breaking point.

Finally everybody had enough and uprisings started. Fights and battles have begun and everybody knew they were doomed. But at the last second the tow hall of sparks was on fire. Everybody went mad and everybody thought that something terrible shall happen. But with everybody helping out the fires of hate were put out and Sparks finally realized that the emberities can help out a lot with all the need around here.

Uninvited guests are usually a pain for everyone due to the fact that they may deplete your resources or start uprisings and cause fights that arise and cause major conflicts between you and other people but in the end those fights will make everyone closer to each other.

Luminescent Love

Author's Note: Summary of my Spring break with the feeling of being in the city.
Another thing this is a style of writing I have never approached before so if you find this piece different from the other ones remember this is for experimentation purposes.

I'm lying down in my bed. I'm looking up at my ceiling and I'm thinking to myself take me away from this place. Somewhere far away. I have had many memories of this place but for now it's time I have some time away from here. A lot of trouble has been brewing here, my parents have had a divorce and I've been a real tight spot. It seems as everybody in my family ages everyday, our family seems closer to the verge of collapse. Debt, death within my family how much more is everybody going to have to suffer? I'm 14 and spring has just begun. My relatives in nearby Milwaukee have just opened up a restaurant selling typical far eastern dishes and treats. For as long as I can remember I have worked there for about a couple of months. I have gotten sick of family troubles out there and so I packed all my belongings I will need for about a week and without a feeling of regret I stepped into the car thinking in my head freedom is just within my grasp. It was an agonizing 20 mile car trip but as soon as I stepped out the smell of the city was a vibrant smell that has been stained into my blood for a very long time. And I knew that I have lifted a giant weight.

I walked into the supermarket and was suddenly ambushed by a massive smell of many vibrant things from fresh shipped Asian produce to the restaurants that lay within the store. It was strangely alive inside the market and it felt weird being surrounded by workers that you haven't met but yet they treat you as if you've worked along side with them. For a couple of days working here was like paradise I never wanted to leave. But always understanding the nature of conflict I soon realized you can't run away from your problems you have to be a man and stare it down. As time went on I looked out towards downtown Milwaukee and sitting there at times enjoying the beauty of the city many never notice. The majesty of each light filled the night sky and it was a sight for me that never aged a bit. As I slept every night I had the same dreams. Me walking in the middle of nowhere with a huge blue sky in front of me with a breeze brushing down my face. But I was awoken by the sound of the highway and drifted away from my fantasy land. Day after day I reported to work but the weather reminded me that when you're far away from something you develop feelings as if your crying for it come back. But when you make promises you have to make sure you fulfill them until the very end. I started on Friday April 15th and as Thursday rolled around the corner I decided to pack up and head back home into the west. On the car ride back I remember catching my last glimpse of the city.

Milwaukee has left its mark on me as a child and as a young adult. There are many things about Milwaukee that make me feel right at home and as soon as I stepped out of the car at home I knew that I will never forget the experiences I had there.

Held Hostage

Day 56 I'm still held hostage by my captors. I'm still lucky he hasn't decided to kill me yet. I have so much to live for but yet I feel as though this is the payback that god is placing upon me. Why? Why did this have to happen to me? One of these days I know I'm going to die but I have so much to live for. But I know that I have no choice but to remain loyal to my captors in order for me to continue my existence.

"Stockholm Syndrome is a psychological type of mental illness where over a long period of time captive victims develop feelings towards their captors and will begin working for them. These feelings are always positive. Victims who even have Stockholm syndrome will show signs of the mental illness when they start not testifying against their captors, refusing to be rescued etc. The syndrome got its name after the 1973 Norrmalmstorg robbery of Kreditbanken in Norrmalmstorg Square in Stockholm Sweden. Bank Employees were held hostage from August 23rd to August 28th 1973 and when they were trying to be rescued they refused to be rescued. Signs of Stockholm Syndrome include the victim refusing to continue to live his/her own life and instead provide their life to their captors. If the Captors were to kill the hostage then the hostages will then obey every command to avoid death".

Day 1 I was a bank teller in the small town richville in the middle of nowhere in Colorado. It was a small quiet town with a population of 5,576. Business at the bank was slow. With a suffering economy everybody was losing money and many people have transferred to major banks in nearby Denver Colorado and so we were losing a lot of business. We didn't know what to do and so we were getting ready to close up. But then suddenly

"EVERYBODY ON THE GROUND NOW THIS IS A BANK ROBBERY! YOU HEARD ME EVERYBODY DOWN NOW!"

Five men wearing bullet proof vests wielding M16's had stormed out bank. They were also wearing ski masks and they wanted all the money from the bank.

"YOU GET THE DOORS TO YOUR VAULT OPEN WE WANT THE MONEY NOW! DO IT NOW!"

I watched one of my friends nervously and shaking grab her keys to the vault and
she opened it and pushed her out of the way. One of the men suddenly walked towards me and asked me to dump all my processions on the counter and so I did due to the fact that he was pointing his barrel towards me. He confiscated my cell phone, Purse and the keys to my house. But luckily for me this man was stupid and realized that he hadn't taken my car keys and so I knew when the time was right make a break for it. But I can tell they were very serious about this and they locked all the doors and so it was only the lobby that was open. And so our ordeal began. Day by day, night by night, week by week they got all the cash that was in the bank and when they laid it out they nearly had one billion dollars laying at their feet.

"We're Rich we did it nice job guys now YOU help us get this cash in our truck."

Pointing towards me I obeyed there every command and by the time we were done they told me to get back inside the bank and stay there. But then I said I had to talk to him in private about the money. I was able to separate him from his group. And so we talked in the lobby then I pulled my pistol and he pulled his M16 and I couldn't believe what happened. He committed Suicide and so I thought to my self one down 4 to go. But then one of my friends walked towards me and tried to kill me with a bowie knife then I realized she had Stockholm Syndrome but Luckily I was able to kill her before she could kill me. It was a hard fought battle, I can't believe she tried to stab me in the heart but thank goodness I had combat training. From then on I knew I was done for what more can I do?

The Forest of Doom

"Help ME!"By god he's dead". What's that rotten stench. Guys I think I found the answer. Operating patients left dead still on their operating tables. Organs, Flies, Maggots and much more they're all over the place. This place looks long abandoned. Well this place was built in 2309 there wouldn't be much left considering when the zombies reached here they nearly killed everyone. I think I know where the zombies came from look at the patients tag. "USSF mental patient 53072". So it was the USSF responsible for creating this terrible plague curse them! What are we going to do now? We're nearly out of ammo and we're outnumbered 5 to 1. What shall we do now? This place is a hospital. If we can mount out several search parties then we can gather survivors bring them back here, patch them up and we got a small army ready to fight the all. ARE YOU MAD!? THERE'S TO MANY OF THEM WE'LL NEVER WIN THE FIGHT WE'LL DIE FOR SURE!. Mason calm down. Now listen if you guys were in a zombie apocalypse where would you guys hold out? "My top choices would be the Mall, School, Police Station and Train station". Exactly these would be the buildings that many survivors would be bound to hide in. What everyone should do gather as much ammunition as they can and split up head into town and see how many survivors we can find. Bring them back here and we can turn this place into a local hospital and headquarters for anyone still around.

"NRS Soldier: This school looks abandoned. Looks like survivors were not to far from this site. Judging by all the zombie bodies and spilled bullets there must've been a battle that took place here. Whatever happened here I need to look for the survivors I need help right away. I wonder what this button does? A weapons cache hopefully this can last me for a while".

"Radio static" "Can you guys hear me? I hear you loud and clear Josh. Same here, me too. Alright where are you guys right now? Josh this is James I have reached the forest overlooking the town I have to see the numbers. Sandra here I've reached the mall. Jennifer here I've reached the fire/police station. God speed to you all and if you guys have any extra weapons make sure you give it to the survivors we have to make sure they all make it back to HQ we cannot take any losses".

"As the three search parties have been pushed through a schedule all three of the fierce warriors have brought back 250 survivors each. They all reported back to HQ an everybody was happy with the results that they received. With a small guerrilla army they headed back to the school. As they reached the former tunnel entrance that led back into the school they heard a banging on the sealed off entrance. They broke the seal and kicked the doors open. To their surprise they found a man. From a look of the patch he had on his left arm he was a soldier for the NRS. Who are you? I was a soldier dispatched to the region here to hold a line against USSF forces. We were on the outskirts of town and we were waiting to see what the USSF were planning to do. One night on I believe June 8th we were waiting for them when we saw people coming over the hill. We thought they were civilians because they were wearing regular clothing. As they approached us we saw them walking as if they were injured due to the fact that they were limping. As we walked towards them they started biting us and attacking. Which led me to this document".
"NRS Soldier: Entry 236590 Date 3/14/2197 time 7:30 P.M
It is a been a brutal war between us and the USSF.
They're releasing an army of zombies that THEY hope shall get rid of us once and for all, But what they don't understand is what will power we possess and shall use until the final days that we die. If anybody hears this you must escape to one of our allied countries it is not... wait stay back! (Gunfire in the background) THEY'RE SWARMING ME AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH............. (Static)".

What the heck has been going on? The USSF have been trying for many years to cut down the supply for the need for troops. They've done many experimentation from biological warfare to mind control devices they used everything to make sure we've been defeated. We've launched many hydrogen bomb strikes on them and it has only weakened them slightly. We knew that from that point on we were doomed for good and the NRS was going to crumble and fall. One things for sure when I first arrived at the school I was broken, beaten and scarred, wounded I needed to seek shelter and so I found this school here. After examining all the corpses I thought there would be no survivors at all but thank god I found you guys. Do any of you guys happen to have any medical experience? "5 of the girls that were in my grade stepped up and decided to help the soldier". One of our patrol men who was up on the roof came down and gave us all a warning. "ZOMBIES 12:00 INBOUND SNIPERS REPORT TO THE ROOF NOW!". Josh you know what to do. God speed and bless you all, Company A come with me let's finish some business.

"As company A composing of about 100 students head up to the roof they were confronted by a sea of zombies 5 floors below them. "Take Positions! Aim! Unleash!" One by one the zombies were dropping but more kept coming out the nearby forest that bordered the school. James was in the group and felt that with each kill he was avenging his ancestors. "They keep coming out of the forest!". I see a barrel that with a wall rigged with C4 it looks like. James made the shot and the sea below them finally settled below them as all the zombies have all been killed for now.........

An oasis of light in a sea of darkness(Revised)

Living in an underground city to many seems exciting while for others it can be a real pain in the neck due to the fact is your resources are limited. For the people who lived in the underground city of Ember they were told by “The Builders” that their city shall last for 300 years. But only 281 years in many citizens of the city notices some dramatic changes. Such as constant blackouts that happen at such a fast pace. Then there are the food shortages and while some citizens think it’s something minor they shall soon realize that their deathtrap is preparing their coffins. For 2 citizens of the city they both realize something worse is going to happen but many question how to get out of a city that is surrounded by a sea of darkness?

The question is when your living in a society that is crumbling what more can you do? For sure you know not to go to the government due to the fact that the governments corruption will not do you any good. The next problem is that where can you go. Nothing beyond the city limits but complete darkness that can be filled with who knows what may be out there from monstrous creatures that may be who knows how big- to possibly trenches that may go on forever. But one things for certain. When death puts the squeeze on you, you will be lucky if you can find a way out of your situation. Ever since the beginning of time many people from explores to native tribes have always looked to the heavens to find the answer to their situations. but for the people of the underground city of Ember there's nothing more than 360 degrees of darkness and so no choice but to surrender and fall victim to death. All the chaos and Pandemonium of this irony was something that would drive everybody either insane or mad.

The only thing the people who lived in the city of Ember had hope for one thing and that was the river. ember had an underground city that was fast flowing and deep and so the murky depths would provide a great shelter in case the city does go black. Even the workers of the city who job was to keep the city up and running couldn't do anything about their situation and so they knew they were sitting ducks. Another thing that did keep the hopes up of the people was an citywide event called "The Singing". The singing was basically celebrating the birth of the city by having every citizen sing the three great songs of the city. This was technically like a country devoting a day to singing their national anthem. But not even an event like this could boost the morale of the citizens as they struggled for sanity and life.

All hope was lost. Many citizens thought they could never escape the underground city that was their tomb. Death was imminent and there's absolutely no hope at all. And so the final option for the citizens was to just lay down and die unless.........

Crazy Slaughtering

"NRS Soldier: That was a close one. Thought they nearly got me there. It has been nearly 5 days after they've released the zombies. Curse them USSF scientists. We don't know how much we'll be able to last but one things for sure if we do end up dying we'll die for out country."

"I found a room guys". But where's the light switch? I found it turn it on now. Wait what are you all of guys doing here? James, Jennifer, Sandra, Josh thank god are we glad to see you guys once again. What happened? well in the middle of our festival we had guards standing outside because we were afraid of communist forces attacking us. And so one of the guards saw a hoard of people walking towards the school. He approached one of them they he started being attacked by one of them and saw that they were zombies. But where did they come from was a mystery, but one thing was for sure when the guard came in and told us about the situation we decided to take action and saw we told everyone to head home but they we brought everyone down here to continue our safety. So that's where everyone went. You guys are lucky. We spent 5-6 hours or so fighting off the entire hoard of zombies. We even went up to the bell tower to check out the situation but our worst fears came true. We looked out and saw nothing but a sea of the undead. We just have one question for you guys. Why didn't you guys tell us about the weapons cache located behind James locker? "Well originally the people who built this school built it during time of communism and fear of nuclear attack like now. Believe it or not this school was built in 1969 but we thought it would look to old and so we gave it a new futuristic look to it". Well thank god you guys built it. We nearly got swarmed by them. They were coming in by the thousands. Thank goodness James had his "Imperial Destruction Bringer" if it weren't for that weapon we would all be doomed. "Wait let me see that weapon". It was an honor making this weapon, it's a cannon that can shoot cannonballs as hot as the sun and so this helped us deal with the mobs real easily. "Wait is that really an HCOUT"? yes, yes it is if it weren't for this weapon then I would be a goner by now. But luckily for me this weapon has helped me deal with those nasty spider crawling zombies which are a pain to deal with. Are there still any weapons left in the weapons cache? There are about 500 guns left so that means 2 each for everyone so we should be good. "All students grab their ray guns". Our time is running out the question is how will we get out. Josh sealed the entrance to the tunnel to assure non of those pigs shall get in. "There's a ton of these secret tunnels located around here. Let's take each tunnel to see where they will lead.

"NRS soldier: I'm going to need to find help. I cannot fight this alone if I don't find help then I'm going to end up being zombie food. hey there's a school up ahead. Looks like it was built in 1969 perfect this school will make a great refuge for me".

Meanwhile.............

They're all over the place. Shoot! nearly out of ammunition for my ray gun.

"As the 254 students and teachers fought there way through the tunnels they were met with swarm upon swarm of zombies. The tunnels they thought were safe are now being infiltrated by swarm upon swarm of zombies. It was like a raging river above them has now seeped into the tunnels and now the torrent of zombies are not stopping at any costs to get that taste of flesh they've been dying for. And so as the 254 students made their way past tunnel after tunnel they finally made it to a door where through the cracks they could see daylight. They opened the door and was shocked by what they saw. They ended up in a field where there were absolutely no signs of civilization in sight. They were about to lose all hope when they spotted a building in the distance. They slowly approached the building and saw it was a Sanitarium. As the crowd of 254 approached the building they took a look inside and investigated to see if there were any resources that they could store but they found nothing.

The 4 found a tunnel and they nearly fell sick because of the stench. There was a sign above the door that read "The Death Tunnel". to the 4 the sanitarium had a foul stench of nightmares, death and pile upon pile of dead victims that were still left on their operating tables. As James looked down the tunnel they saw a figure coming towards them at first they were loaded in case it was a zombie but they were shocked that it was a sanitarium patient who came here in 2309. "Help ME!". The patient dropped dead to the floor and finally the truth to them was finally revealed.

The Sea

The sea's soft gentle waves crash ashore to form an eerie fog
Mist from water vapors fills the air and forms into an eerie fog
The visibility to passer byers becomes fairly bleak
Throughout the night as the fog subsides lunar forces help to ease the sea into a state of calmness
As dawn breaks the sea cries out telling the moon not to fade away
But a new day starts and the sea finds itself in a very lonely state.
And so as the day progressed the theatrical symphony of the heavens slowly approached the sea
As the heavens cried the thunder crashed in the sky and the sea went from a sobbing type of feeling to anger
In the middle of the torrent of the seas emotion came a ship
The ship was being pounded from all sides by 100ft waves
Finally there was a disturbance on the sea floor and then a violent shake occurred
Then came the final blow a monstrous 200ft wave
Local fisherman on the shoreline watched in horror as the ship came coming towards the shoreline
And finally the final blow was delivered

The March to War

1939's Nazi Germany is known by many to be one of the most evil empires know to mankind. Many Germans who had faith in the empire soon found out that with every great ruler there's a dark vicious side to him. Over a course of 12 years Adolf Hitler Germany's so called greatest ruler was able to occupy much of Europe and nearly took over Russia. Hitler knew that if he wanted to continue his expansion he shall acquire soldiers that are willing to sacrifice everything for their Reich. And he in doing so he sought to deceive the German people with false statements of becoming the best country in the world and becoming the leading superpower in the entire world. But throughout Hitler's reign of 12 years what many saw as a bright young man soon turned into some kind of monster. For one Hitler youth soldier named Alfons Heck he shall soon learn that your only a pawn in war.

In 1933 Adolf Hitler was elected chancellor of Germany and his speeches spoke of a brighter Germany, one that shall be renewed from the ashes of the old Germany. Alfons Heck was just a young boy who lived outside the city of Frankfurt. Energetic, patriotic and easily manipulative Alfons like most Germans had faith in his Führer. But it wasn't until World War II progressing that many would realize that trusting their Führer was a mistake they shouldn't have done before or in the first place. But by 1945 many realized it was too late to save themselves and finally as the Third Reich was burning down to the ground millions of Germans fell with it. As the Reich finally finished burning the western allies circled over the ashes and picked off whatever targets were left. Post World War II called for major cleanup and many Germans questioned how would they rebuild without a leader. But that was after 1945. For now Alfons knew that he was proud to serve Hitler and bring victory to the Reich. At age 9 he was enlisted by the Hitler youth because he wanted to no matter how much his parents pled with him not to join. As the war progressed he soon realized how desperate the Reich was getting to stay alive and so by age 15 Alfons was made a Bahnfuher the equivalent to a Major General in today's ranks. At the same time while Alfons was dealing with major troubles Helen was a Jewish woman who fled Germany due to the hatred being expelled by the Reich. While in hiding to continue her life in Amsterdam she was captured and sent to Auschwitz one of the most brutal concentration camps known in World War II. While she spent her time there. She watched pile upon pile of corpses of her own kind dying and she knew that she may not make it out of there alive. But fate ran another course and when the western allies reached her she was free.
War is the worst thing ever invented for mankind. For the people who lived in the 1940s war had to be paid in the millions of the death tolls of innocent men and women who were all deceived by a man who had a very severe dark side and many realized you can't always think that everything is true.

school of the dead

Muse - Time Is Running Out .mp3
Found at bee mp3 search engine

NRS Soldier: Entry 236590 Date 3/14/2197 time 7:30 P.M
It is a been a brutal war between us and the USSF.
They're releasing an army of zombies that THEY hope shall get rid of us once and for all, But what they don't understand is what will power we possess and shall use until the final days that we die. If anybody hears this you must escape to one of our allied countries it is not... wait stay back! (Gunfire in the background) THEY'RE SWARMING ME AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH............. (Static)

It was a Friday night and 4 friends were cleaning up their school after celebrating them becoming freshmen. It was 9:00 P.M and everybody had left even the teachers and janitors and so it was only them who was left. There were two girls and two guys. The two Guys were Josh and James. Josh was a 14 year old boy who came from a family that has had a history of serving in the military and so he took everything seriously. He was muscular and was 6'0" tall. James was a 13 year old Asian who's family can trace their ancestral roots all the way back to the Han dynasty in China. For him when it came to competition honor, pride and serving his friends well was the most important things to him and so when it came to failure he never gave up till the end. On the other side were two girls Sandra and Jennifer. Sandra was raised to a rich family and was tall at 5'8". She was blonde and played multiple sports which made her athletic. She had many friends but she was best friends with non other then Jennifer. Jennifer came from a middle class family and was about 5'6" like Sandra she played many sports and was also one of the smartest people in her grade. She had Burnett hair and she had straight A's and always knew that she would have to work for things.

The 4 individuals were just about to leave when they heard a strange noise coming from down the hallway. the 4 went to investigate and they were shocked by what they saw. They saw Zombies breaking through the windows. At first they were panicking thinking they would surely die due to the fact that they had nothing to defend themselves with. But Quick on his feet James remembered a weapon cache that was built into one of the walls that no one noticed and knew about except for the teachers. when James opened it all of them grabbed some ammunition and were locked and loaded and were ready for the onslaught that lay ahead of them. "Any Last words guys said Josh?". James replied "I do this for honor if I die let me take as much of them with me to their graves!". Sandra replied "I will not let some stupid zombie end my life!". Jennifer replied "It was fun spending this entire night with you guys if none of us make it out alive lets at least fight until the end!". Josh made the final response "Been shooting stuff since 2185 so BRING IT ON!". Zombies started coming down the hallways and they opened fired, rotten guts, flesh and zombie body parts were basically raining down upon them but they knew it was either fight or die. James especially took it personally for When he was born Zombies killed his parents but he was able to defend himself thanks to a villager giving him a katana. And so because of that fateful day he has always wanted revenge for the undead taking his parents. James was wielding his Katana, a Ray gun and a gun he invented called "The Imperial Destruction bringer" which shot cannon balls that were as hot as the sun. Josh was using the High Collateral Oscillating Utility Tamer or HCOUT. Sandra was using a compound bow with arrows. This shocked everybody considering the fact that Sandra never told her friends that she goes hunting very often. Jennifer was using an M16 with an attached shot gun and a grenade launcher.

And so the battle raged on for hours until finally at 3:00 A.M the last of them have been dealt with. The 4 were tired, restless, hungry and were nearly out of ammunition. Supplies were running short and the 4 battle hardened teenagers knew that more shall come. They decided to climb up the tower inside their 5 story school and were shocked by what they saw. Zombies in hoards of millions have taken over their city and has even taken over most of the NRS. The 4 decided to lose hope thinking that they will never be able to escape but then Josh remembered something. He knew that the school had an underground network of tunnels that were built underneath the school in case of a nuclear attack or invasion. and so grabbing the last of the ammunition in the cache josh shot the main door to the school open letting the zombies in and sealing up the entrance to the tunnels. At first they thought he was committing suicide by using himself as live bait but just as the zombies nearly grabbed him he closed the tunnel door and the 4 navigated until they reached the end of the tunnel. None of them knew what may lie ahead of them but they tried their fate and were shocked by what they saw

Thunder, Lightning, Fear, Excitement

As I exited out of the bowling Alley the air has a sickly humid climate. It was so damp that even the sweat in my body didn't even want to come out. But as I looked up at the sky, the sky was a freighting dark big black hole of unknown things. As me and my family drove home we were entering the eye of the storm. As we first approached we saw nothing but lightning, and tremendous sound of lightnings friend thunder. As we were nearing home we saw a barricade for the train crossing at its blocking position as we near the tracks we saw no such train coming from both sides of the track. At first we thought this some mechanical failure but suddenly a freak lightning bolt flew across the clouds and thunder joined in the theatrical performance as well.

"BOOM, CRASH, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP"

The only sounds I heard as we approached the beep was the NWS in Sullivan issuing warning after warning after warning. The Boom and the crash were the orchestra of the heavens joining along to add the dramatics and the craziness of it all. To me this felt like the day that shall never end. As I got inside my house I was immediately glued to my TV keeping an eye out for any mayhem that may or shall come my way. As the theatrical performance intensified there was a thought in the back of my mind that kept repeating "YOUR GOING TO DIE!", "YOUR GOING TO DIE!". It was just like a freight train coming my way.

But finally after an agonizing 3 hours the storm finally subsided and the orchestra made their last impression on me. It was a beatiful performance and even though it was freighting at times at least I got to see this show for free.

10 Seconds to Death

Hypothermia, Frost Bite and death are the common cases when it comes to being out in the cold for to long. But really death is always caused by people either being stupid or really it's just the individual out of luck but honestly who would want to die in the cold anyway? Think of it, would you want a quick death and end your life faster or would want a slow painful death where everything even odds are stacked against you. But whatever way you choose your always going to end up with the same results and that is death. Death to many is something they take personally but its always that inner flame of people their will is what they use to stand up to the cold and defeat it times where moments are dark and gloomy. For one man up in the Yukon Territory he had no will and soon learned the hard way that mother nature can be really cruel.

A man was up in the Yukon probably on vacation to escape stress and personal troubles. It was winter and everybody and everything was either very silent and still or slowly taking their time wandering through the cold. The Temperature was 50- -75 below zero what kind of a mad man would want to be hiking in such bitter cold. Of course these temperatures are cold enough to freeze mercury and who knows what it can do to an individual. At first when the man came into contact with the cold he thought that it was just going to be a regular cold northern day but he shall soon find out is to never underestimate the forces of nature. It was the middle of the night and considering its winter he soon realized it was getting even colder. There was one problem the man had no imagination and the longer he was exposed to the cold the more vulnerable to the cold he has gotten. There was another problem this man had no imagination which was his biggest downfall. Without his imagination what he didn't realize was how close death was to him. At first to the man was flirting with death and as time moves on death then grips him in a choke hold which he knows he cannot escape from. To this man he didn't care about much most of the time he'll pass it by chewing tobacco but mother nature shows how brutal she can be by freezing the sherbet colored saliva right on his chin causing a smelly beard of tobacco to form but still the man didn't care much. In this journey the man had a companion and that was a sled dog. In climates like this animals such as these sled dogs have learned in an instant how to survive such severe conditions. It was morning and the temperature was slowly rising and the man started to walk down the trail to the river where he would regroup with some boys and then they'll camp and celebrate but soon the temperature wasn't moving at all and soon the man came to the realization that he is cold. And so he was already suffering from hypothermia. But hypothermia wasn't alone in this. Hypothermia's best friend frostbite kicked in and with the combination of the two death was marching towards him. And so as the Afternoon started waning his condition began to worsen. He had matches with him to start a fire to keep him war but as he was enjoying his little piece of paradise nature got payback by dropping snow on top of his fire from a tree. The man was really cold and with no feeling left in his extremities he couldn't start another fire. And so he turned to the dog and thought he could kill the dog and then live inside of the dog but the man was dumb and the dog was smart and the dog backed away and finally agonizing hours later the man fell and never got back up again. He knew death was here and instead of running away from it he decided to embrace it and so the man died in the bitter cold.

Winter is a season of cruelty. Many that are not prepared suffer the price but those who have imagination and think shall always be the ones to save themselves instead of suffering a mercyful fate such as a slow painful death

The Death Tunnel

I hear screaming and pounding at night. This place gives me the creeps and I question why I'm here. The cry and moaning of patients here is just horrible and I know that the reason why they're in here is because society thought that that they could not live side by side next to us. For me to be here is like a decision I think I should never have done. But from what I could see from electroshock therapy, X-Rays and other painful and terrible treatment that it looks like that this is the end of the line for many people. No one can imagine a place like this, what kind of a place is this exactly? Only one word can describe this place, home. But honestly who can call a sanitarium home?

Living in a sanitarium is horrible and bone chilling. Death is either in the air or everywhere. Gravestones litter the cemetery as thousands upon thousands were buried there and soon I knew that I was going to die from either going insane or disease. My cell that I was locked up in was cold, dark and it felt like that life for me shall never be the same. Sanitariums are living nightmares as I walk the hallways towards the cafeteria to eat lunch I see 4-9 year olds living in these cage/crib type of things when really they should be able to be able to walk by themselves by now. Another thing I noticed was there were only 2 people taking care of children and I counted 50 Children being taken care of by 2 people! To me this was a true thing that should not be but I remembered that society thought that these people could not live side by side with them. After lunch I went back up to my room on my way up I hear nothing but the sounds of coughing from people suffering tuberculosis, people talking to each other and the sound of the occasional hearse leaving. I looked out towards the sign near the main entrance. The sign said Waverly Hills Sanitarium but honestly I would've changed the name to "Die anyway you could".

Isolation is one of the many things you shall experience here but if the disease is not gonna kill you then the doctors will. Treatment was terrible from electroshock therapy to baths in cold water to calm the mental down. I'm 60 years old now and I knew that my Tuberculosis shall catch up to me and so as my final years slipped by
I looked back upon my life and thought to myself my time is up what shall happen to me I don't know.

The next day on April 1st 1914 he died. He was body was put inside a coffin and then next his coffin was put on top of a cart and rolled down the 400 feet of concrete that was the death tunnel the last stop for many helpless souls that realized that disease took everything from them.

The Hero of the Day

Whenever I think back to what happened to me two years ago I always have that year in my mind. Ironically what happened two years ago in my opinion wasn't suppose to happen. It was more like a thing that should not be but did become to be. As I look to my future I always think to myself I've gotten older and wiser but what more can I do? Its 8:00 A.M and I'm in my Language Arts class. It was announced that today was the final elimination and so my last words before I left my class was "This will be a piece of cake". And so as I left my room I kept the same thought in my head "State I'm coming for you". With pride, dignity and honor at stake I left my classroom. As I enter the Library where this brilliant showdown was about to take place. I entered and I met up with my opponents and thought to myself "This is 6th grade all over again". I took my seat and as the other contestants arrived I thought to myself "Let's go!".
First round was sudden death what made me nervous was how hard the questions would be. And I found out when 11 of the 14 competitors were eliminated. The realization came to me it's not time to fool around it's time to get serious. Powering my way through sudden death I finally made it to the championship round. 6th grade is repeating all over again. As usual in the championship round there were three questions. I was up against a 7th grade named Joey Hernandez and the way he has fought now has proven himself worthy to make it this far. And so with the felling of suspense in the air we finally began combat for the final showdown that shall reach all students of this school. 3 questions were given in which both of us have to answer it. As the competition got under way immediately Joey answered one wrong. Right then I though I had this one in the bag but it seems my luck and karma bit me back hard and I got one wrong as well. But finally after an all out full scale war it was over those who were their to witness it couldn't believe it.

Geographical Reconnaissance(Flashback Part 3)

April 3rd
2009
American Family Insurance HQ
Madison Wisconsin
Age 12
Motivation You've made it this far now go make your comrades proud.

It's 5 AM.I'm tired I still want to sleep but then I remember what is going on today. today it's time to go to state. And so I got up out of bed went for a shower ate breakfast and finally got in the car and I was on my way. It was me, my mom and my uncle. All three of us had one destination in mind, Madison. As we were on our way there I watched the sun rise and thought to myself everybody is with me. They have put their faith, trust and hope in me and now time to go live out my dream. As we approached the AMFAM HQ I was amazed by the sheer size of the building. When I saw a map and the outline of the building I couldn't believe it. This building was divided into 5 buildings and they were Buildings A, B, C, D, and E. At first all three of us got lost but after receiving help from a couple of employee's we finally made it to the lobby of the building where I checked in and waited. Even the Lobby itself was impressive with beautiful marble carvings. Finally after waiting an hour or 2 all parents and kids had to report into the auditorium. As I took my seat I looked around the Auditorium great 100 kids. Some may have the same knowledge than me or they're smarter than me. After watching a couple of advertisements and receiving a debriefing from a couple of judges the groups were then divided. After being divided into groups each group split up and went to different corridors there state shall begin in each one of the corridors. As my group reported to our corridor we took our seats in comfy office chairs so I knew enjoy it, relax and time to meet my opponents. Like the school geography bee I was told there were 7 rounds and with each round the difficulty would become harder. I powered my way through rounds 1-5 but then my downfall sped up to me and finally caught up to me and brought me down to my knees. Rounds 6 and 7 were cultural and historical geography. I knew historical geography but that was from the world wars and onward. And cultural geography was my final downfall. I needed 7 points to advance to the tie breaker round but I was only at 6 points and so I kissed state goodbye. Though I've met my downfall it wasn't the only failure that happened that day. I also failed my fellow classmates but I thought to myself even though I failed I did set three records and that was. First Asian to go to state in something, First person in Horizon history to go to state and first one to almost win all three consecutive years. It was an honor being here though I've failed I doubt nobody shall ever meet a person that has this much passion such as myself.

"From that day onward I've swore that I shall return to state and avenge for my loss that year 2 years later in 8th grade I'm 13 years old I've gotten wiser, smarter and taller. Whenever I look back at my past to events such as this I always know that someday I'll be back. I have an upcoming Geography Bee on January 19th. What shall happen? I don't know but whatever happens I shall live to tell the tale."

The Feeling of Accomplishment(Continuing Flashback)Part 2

"What really happened next wasn't that big of a deal to me. I was just nervous of what my results would be. The feeling I had was as if I was waiting for the results of a cancer test. I thought I didn't make it to state again but I had second thoughts saying why would they send you an envelope saying you failed? I went inside my house and opened it in a matter of seconds. As I skimmed through the letter there it was right in the fine print. Finally after two month of agony I get to see my fate. I made it. Was it sheer luck? Sheer will, participation, or honor I don't know but to see it right there on a piece of paper was an honor. State was going to be held in Madison Wisconsin on April 3rd at the American Family Insurance Headquarters. What shall happen next I don't know but whatever is gonna happen it's going to be me and a certain number of kids such as myself who have a knack for geography so I know this is gonna be tough"

Somewhere in March 2009
Age 12
Ms. Cleary's classroom
6th grade
Motivation YES I MADE IT TO STATE!

I'm with one of my classmates in the school library. I was given orders to come down and study. As soon as I received my admission letter to state I spread the word and soon it was a madhouse. Everybody was frantic they couldn't believe it. For the first time in Horizon history someone has actually made it and qualified for state for the geography bee. And so while the rest of my class had to take lessons on some subject I had no idea what it was but I was sent down to study and prepare my brain for the biggest challange of my life. And so 45 minutes-1 hour later one of my classmates came to check on my status and I was told to return to quarters. As I approached my quarters I noticed that the classroom was dark. At first I thought that my fellow classmates were watching a movie but then I realized that there was no sound. I was then confronted by my fellow classmates. It was a surprise party and I couldn't believe it!

"It was amazing how much my fellow classmates had faith in me. I knew that from that day onward that I should be thankful for having such great comrades and classmates. As the party went and raged on lots of festivities were enjoyed. It was a time of good spirits, good cheer and happy times that everybody loved. But I knew that I still had to face my biggest challenge yet and I knew that this is why this party is happening. State HERE I COME!"

The Madness of Anger(Sequel to "The plague of St. Anger)

Many individuals suffer from St. Anger. Many think that satin is evil but people change their opinions when they meet St. Anger. Next to Satin he's the most evil thing you shall encounter. He plagues his victims with anger that when you feed it, it stays with you for the rest of your life. Anger can be divided into many categories from feelings of Franticness to stress and finally just straight out anger. when we have the feeling of anger we feel all warm inside. As if a volcano shall cause a massive eruption. St. Anger was meant to draw the weak and make him their slaves and minions. How he does it is one simple thing. Power. Once the anger rushes in, you feel as if you have a sense of power and control over the enemy that has St. Anger within you. At times he'll leech off of you up until the point where he'll cause something very terrible to happen that may scar you for life and wasn't meant to happen.

When the accident is caused St. Anger has officially left his mark. To recover from these scars is like the Gulf of Mexico recovering from the Deepwater Horizon. Many things have made me angry and I'm always in a constant state of battling with my Anger. From Kindergarten up till 5th grade my anger has been unstoppable. But It wasn't until sometime in 5th grade where I decided to speak up against St. Anger and took anger management classes. And for a certain time period St. Anger met his match and I was free of his curse for the time being. But I was wrong. At present day St. Anger came back for me and this time he has sealed so much anger within me that he shall make sure I don't try to rid myself of him. It's merely impossible to get rid of him but its the madness of it all. Many individuals who don't have his plague are lucky individuals. They've never experienced anger like myself. As I age I feel St. Anger growing weaker and one thing I know for sure is when I'm at my dying moment that I shall finally unlock his chains that bounded me and finally kill St. Anger freeing myself and resting in peace.

For me certain I'm always in a constant state of war with my emotions and anger is one of the many is anger. I 'll always feel him twisting my mind and trying to thwart me whenever he gets the chance but one things for sure the day I rid myself of St. Anger will be a great day of freedom and it'll be an honor assassinating St. Anger
